Easter to October

Take a cruise to Niffany or Snaygill through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

Daily trips are run Easter to October, with 1 hour 15 minutes return trips on most days.


Skipton farmers market
 1st Sunday in the month March to September.
Locally grown and reared meats, fish and poultry as well as home made cakes and breads and local plants and vegetables.


Skipton Waterway Festival

Dozens of narrow boats from all over the North and Midlands many of them dressed in miles of coloured bunting.


 Skipton Festival of Transport

 June 2007

 A new event for the town. The High Street will be closed off to allow vintage vehicles to be shown off on the market setts. Organised by Craven Old Wheels Club in association with Skipton Town Council.


 Skipton Gala Town Centre

 June 2007 1-5pm.

Colourful town centre parade of floats, Gala Rosebud Queen, plus Petals and Pageboys. Followed by all the fun of the fair in Aireville Park. Stalls, food, rides, children's entertainment and competitions.

Broughton Hall Game Show

Sunday 24th June 2007

A well established country show with interest for all the family. Bands, Dog Show, Clay Shoot, Terrier and Lurcher Show, Sheep Dog Trial, Vintage Cars and Tractors, Aerobatic Display etc.

Show opens at 10:30 a.m. Tickets available at the gate.

Sunday July 1st 2007 from 10:00am
on the High Street.
Sheepday is a terrific Family day out,the Countryside comes to Town.


Clog Festival

Friday 6th Sunday 8th July 2007

Clog dancers from all over England will perform around the town centre on Saturday, with a free showcase at the canal basin from 2.30-4pm. More dancing in the grounds of Skipton Castle on Sunday from 12.30 pm.
